Organizador de Agujas Ganchillo - Crochet Needle Organizer

Si, si, ya se que dije que el organizador de agujas era un rollo, poco útil y poco original pero al final con la cantidad de trapillo que  reciclé hace un par de semanas esto es lo que he podido hacer de momento. Me he complicado bastaste la vida con este trapillo porque tenía poco material de cada color, pero creo que el resultado es estupendo. Me gustan mucho los colores y el hecho de que lo único que he comprado, y no por necesidad si no por puro capricho, ha sido el hilo de algodón que une las trenzas de trapillo.

Bueno, vamos por partes. Primero, el resultado. Una monada, me encanta, es precioso.

Ahora por dentro .. ¡¡me gusta todavía mas!!

Ahora la pregunta .. ¿pero como hicimos esto?, con muuucho material reciclado. El interior es la pierna de un pantalón vaquero viejo. La parte externa es trapillo reciclado hecho trencitas como muestro abajo, y luego unido con hilo de algodón. Como se ve se pasa el hilo por las trenzas uno por arriba y el siguiente por abajo.

Cuando tenemos todas las trenzas tejidas, se unen los extremos con la máquina de coser, o se cose a mano.

Luego toca el interior. La parte central, donde van las agujas lo he cosido a máquina, así no queda torcido. El resto está cosido a mano, porque a máquina es complicado llegar a todos los sitios.

El detalle de la cuerda que sujeta el organizador de agujas. He hecho un ojal a mano, me encanta este detalle. He usado un color más claro para que resalte.

Se pueden utilizar multitud de combinaciones de colores de trapillo y de tela interior. He disfrutado mucho haciéndolo y aún me ha sobrado trapillo para otro apaño.

Yessss, I know I mentioned the needle organizer is not very cool neither original option but finally, when I reviewed how much T-shirt Yarn I had I discovered I didn't have much of each color so I had to do something very small. I've complicated myself a lot with this material but I think the result is quite good. I love the colors and the only thing I've bought (I didn't need it really, I just wanted to buy it ;-)  ) is the  cotton yarn that I used to join the braids.

The first photos are the result, outside and inside, I love it.

The question is .. how did I do it? The answer is .. with a lot of recycled material: old jeans and T-shirt Yarn. The t-shirt yarn is braided and it's joined with the cotton yarn. After that you can use the sewing machine on the braid extremes and those parts where the needles are put (so the result is straight). The rest of the fabric is sewed manually.

The braid for tighting the organizer is crossing the fabric so I've done a buttonhole manually, I love this touch in a lighter color.

You can use many color T-shirt and fabric combinations. I've enjoyed a lot making this creation, and I have to say I still have some more t-shirt after this.

Mi Cuaderno Rivadavia.

Os presento mi nuevo cuaderno. Es un clásico cuaderno Rivadavia. Aquí, en España, no se conoce ni se comercializa esta marca, es una marca de papel Argentina. Le encargué un montón de cuadernos a mi suegra para los niños y de paso le pedí también de papel blanco para mi. 

El papel del cuaderno tiene la marca impresa en el centro, entre las dos páginas, me encanta el detalle, queda precioso.

Soy adicta a los productos de papelería (se que no es nada raro, la mayoría de mujeres tenemos este pequeño vicio) pero en especial a los cuadernos, adoro los cuadernos y no los gasto al ritmo que los compro o me los regalan así que tengo un stock de cuadernos en mi mesita de noche que debo consumir, porque .. porque ....  necesito espacio para comprar nuevos cuadernos!!!.

Bueno, este es el estampado con el que he estado experimentando, me encanta, es medio salvaje, medio femenino, me gusta mucho, tiene mucha fuerza y posibilidades.

Pero mirar que bonito queda en color ... es incluso mas bonito.

Me encanta el resultado, no se si lo pintaré en algún bolso o alguna camiseta. De momento queda en mi Memo Art book.

Let me introduce you my new book Rivadavia. Here, in Spain, it's a unknown brand as it's an Argentine one. I asked my mother in law to bring me some rivadavia note books from Argentine for my kids and I asked her also some blank paper ones just for myself. I love them, they have a printed brand in the middle of the book, in one of the pages, I love that precious touch.

These are the new patterns I've been working on, I love them, it's kind of wild and feminine, I love it. When I colored, I love it even more.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, maybe paint a hand bag or a T-.shirt, we will see what I use them for, but, in the meantime, here they are in my Memo Art Book.

Llega el Fin de Semana

Por fin llega el fin de semana. Como he vuelto al trabajo y los niños están en casa no hay mucho tiempo libre para crear. Tengo muchas ideas y casi todo el material que necesito pero claro, sin tiempo disponible, mal vamos.

Sigo pensando en que voy a hacer con mi trapillo porque quiero hacer algo que realmente necesite. La casa se me cae encima de material para reciclar, ropa y objetos inútiles (me gustan, pero son inútiles) así que he decidido pensar muy bien qué voy a hacer con el material de reciclaje que tengo: tiene que ser algo útil, precioso y original .. estas van a ser las tres premisas.
Tengo varias opciones:

1. De cara al invierno, Pantuflas de Trapillo: muy útiles, la preciosidad habrá que revisarla en detalle y puede ser bastante original.
2. Bolsa para Yoga: va a ser muy útil, seguro, la preciosidad va a ser un poco reducida y al 100% va a ser la reina de la originalidad.
3. Bolsa/Cartera para guardar las agujas de punto y ganchillo: poca utilidad, preciosidad reducida y poco original, pero bueno, necesitaba una tercera opción.

Este fin de semana me pondré con alguna de las dos primeras opciones, tengo ganas de deshacerme de unas sábanas viejas, quiero integrar el trapillo con la tela (no tengo ni idea cómo, pero tengo que hacer espacio en la bolsa de las telas).

También he estado trabajando en un estampado, me queda poco para terminarlo. Estoy mirando variaciones del mismo en color, blanco y negro y distintos sombreados. Subiré el resultado en cuanto el tiempo libre me permita terminar algo decente que enseñar, así que en esta ocasión no hay fotos pero seguro que para la semana que viene tenemos un montón de cosas nuevas.

Weekend is here, finally!. As I've came back to work on Monday and kids are still at home there is not spare time for creating. I have many ideas on my head and most of the material I need for it but, having no time for doing anything I'm going bad.

I'm still thinking about what I can do with my T-shirt Yarn as I want to do something which I really need to. My house is full of recycling material, clothes and useless objects so I've decided to think twice what I'm going to create. These are going to be the 3 "Must To Be" I will follow for the newly created stuff: useful, lovely and original

I've thought about 3 possible things:

1. T-Shirt Yarn Sleepers: very useful, "kind of" lovely and quite original

2. Yoga Bag: very useful for sure, not very lovely but "queen of" originality. 

3. Minibag for keeping the crochet and knitting needles. Not very useful, not very lovely and not original at all. No issue, I just needed a third option.

I will work on one of the first 2 options this weekend as I want to get rid of my newly created T-Shirt Yarn and also some old bedding.

I've been working also in a pattern/decoration, I'm about to finish it. I'm just thinking about some design variations: different colors and shadows. I will upload the result as soon as I have something decent to show, so this post does not have any picture but next one (hopefully) will be full of new creations.

Haciendo trapillo el Domingo.

Después de años completamente desconectada del ganchillo, del cual era superaficionada, me entero que hay un montón de gente loca por el "amigurumi" y el "trapillo". El ganchillo o croché ya no se hace, o no se le menta como tal, y lo nuevo es el trapillo XXL para hacer alfombras, bolsos y cestas.

Bueno, me encantó la idea del trapillo porque yo he sido siempre una fan número uno del ganchillo con aguja extragrande. De hecho, en mi época (hace 6-8 años), conseguir un ganchillo del 10 era una  misión imposible así que imaginaos lo que era conseguir uno del 13 o 15.

El trapillo me ha parecido lo mas. Vi en varios tutoriales como hacer trapillo con camisetas viejas y me he emocionado pensando que voy a dar una segunda vida a las 6 camisetas que tenía para "donar" y que me negaba a deshacerme de ellas.

He pasado la tarde del Domingo cortando y haciendo trapillo con mis 6 camisetas viejas, me ha encantado.

La verdad que hay miles de vídeos explicando Cómo Hacer Trapillo Con Camisetas Viejas así que no voy a entrar muy en detalle pero sí os enseño el resultado de los preciosos ovillos que me han quedado.

Ahora lo que me quitará el sueño durante unos días ... a ver qué puedo hacer con este trapillo porque rinde muy poco.

I've been completely disconnected from "Crochet World" for years (I was absolute fan of it) and now I've found out that there is a lot of mad people about  "Amigurumi" and "T-shirt Yarn". I see the name "Crochet" hard to find in the blogs and the new "cool thing" is XXL T-Shirt Yarn to make carpets, handbags or baskets.

I loved the T-Shirt yarn idea as I have been always the XXL Crochet number one fan and, when I used to crochet looong time ago it was a kind of mission impossible to find the XXL needles. I've seen some DIY videos how to do the T-shirt yarn and I loved it, I'm excited thinking about how I'm going to recycle my old T-shirts, I have 6 of them which were waiting for "donation" and now I'm thinking about its second life!!

There are a lot of DIY videos about how to make Recicled T-Shirt Yarn so I won't get in details of it, but you can see on photos how nice yarn balls I created.

I know I will be dreaming on the works I will do with these beautiful balls.

Vacaciones

Abro el blog estando de vacaciones. He estado dos semanas desconectada de trabajo y me ha dado tiempo a ver que necesito hacer cosas y compartirlas con los demás. Por fin he podido mirar en detalle que se mueve por el mundo del tejido, la costura, el reciclaje de materiales, etc ... y he visto que hay muchas cosas nuevas y cosas de siempre. Veo una comunidad de almas creativas con mucho gusto. Veo mucho blog con grandes ideas y madres que realizan muchas actividades interesantes. Me uno al club y veré que tal se me da.

Ayer anduvimos por la playa recogiendo piedras para decorar con los niños cuando volvamos de la playa. Pesan un montón pero merecerá la pena. He estado mirando algunas ideas y creo que nos pueden quedar preciosas.

Tengo más ideas en la cabeza, ese es el problema del tiempo libre, mi cabeza empieza a funcionar pensando en cosas nuevas.

I open this blog while having my holidays. I've been 2 weeks completed disconnected from work and I've had time to think about my need of doing more things in my live and sharing them with rest of people. I've been surfing through the webs about weaving and sewing, recycling materials webs, etc .. and I've seen there is a lot of new and old stuff out there. I've seen and large comunity of creative souls. I've seen many blogs with very nice and lovely ideas, a high number of  mammies who are dedicating a lot of time to very interesting activities. I join this club and I see how it goes.

We went for a walk through the beach yesterday and we picked some rolling stones. We will decorate them with the kids when we come back home. They are very heavy but it will worth it. I've been checking some ideas through the webs and I think they will look great.

I have much more ideas on my head, this is my issue with spare time, my head starts working fast thinking in new things.
